The empty cargo cars cut detached from a train, finally crashing into a storage building at the port terminal. Several of the cars went into the water. Along with the three who died in the accident, another four were hurt.
Faulty brakes were being blamed for the accident, although it still wasn’t clear if a technical or human error was involved. The National Accident Commission was at the site, and all train traffic to and from Alnabru had been terminated. Alnabru is the terminal where the train was located before it derailed.
